It's lime time! The WOMAN summer cake
Our summer cake is definitely summery, fresh and fruity. And thanks to the extra portion of lime & lemon, it tastes particularly great. But what is special is not only that it is prepared entirely without flour, but that it is an absolute eye-catcher thanks to the super-original Messino decoration. With Bahlsen Messino you can make totally creative cake and table decorations. The best thing about it: We particularly like embellishments to nibble on. By the way: There is also something to win! Ingredients for the WOMAN summer cake:
- 125 g soft butter
- 200 g cane sugar
- grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
- grated zest of 1 lime
- 3 large eggs
- 200 g blueberries & raspberries (mixed)
- 320 g ground almonds
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda
TOPPING:
- 1 cup of cream
- grated zest of 1 lemon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
- Berry
- 1 package BAHLSEN Messino Limited Edition Lime & Lemon (alternatively also one of the other varieties)
- Sugar script
- Sugar pearls
Preparation:
Mix butter with sugar until very frothy. Stir in the zest and juice of the lemon and lime zest. Gradually add eggs. Mix well. Add the almonds and baking powder, fold in the blueberries & raspberries. Put the mixture in a prepared cake tin and bake in the oven at 160 ° for approx. 45 minutes. Take out, let cool down. Beat the cream with sugar and lemon zest. Spread on the cake, decorate with berries. Decorate the messino biscuits with sugar writing and sugar pearls, stick them on skewers and add them to the cake.
Tip: Since this is a limited edition, you should be quick. But even if the super fruity biscuits are only available for a limited time, the decoration also works with one of the many other Messino biscuits.
