Market in the courtyard of the Hohensalzburg Fortress
Advent high up above the roofs of Salzburg. A wonderful view of the roofs of Salzburg opens up in the courtyard of the Hohensalzburg Fortress. Numerous market stalls and a diverse supporting program provide the necessary portion of Christmas atmosphere. Traditionally, the “Christkindlanschießen” of the fortress pillory protectors takes place on December 24th at 12 noon.
