Don't worry, thanks to TikTok we have the perfect gift for you: hollow chocolate balls filled with cocoa powder and mini marshmallows! The ball not only melts theatrically in hot milk, but also reveals its delicious contents:
Appealing, isn't it? Fortunately, you don't have to work in a patisserie to create such a chocolate bomb. In fact, the recipe is very simple - you just have to pay attention to the details!
Ingredients:
- Couverture: (Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white - depending on your mood). Important: If you want shiny balls, you should definitely use couverture, even if the taste is not that noble. Because tempering "real" chocolate so that it becomes wafer-thin and shiny - that is a fine art!
- Cocoa powder
- Mini marshmallows (or big ones that you cut into small pieces)
- Optional: Decorative sprinkles
Also useful:
- silicone mold for balls (or an ice cube mold)
- silicone spatula
Preparation:
Melt the couverture over the water bath - but don't let the mixture get too hot! Spread liquid chocolate into the silicone mold so that a nice, even layer is created. Then turn the mold over to drain the excess chocolate. Tip:The ball breaks more easily at the edge, so apply an additional, thin layer there.
Carefully remove the halves of the ball from the mold. Add two tablespoons of cocoa powder and a few marshmallows. Heat a plate in the microwave. The empty halves of the ball are heated on this plate. Then quickly join the halves together.
Finally, you can decorate the balls with melted chocolate and sprinkles. Wrap in cellophane and give away!
