What can we expect in the new fashion season?

Kretschmer: A more casual look is coming back. With deconstructed and boxy cuts. New proportions with taller trousers, blazers, and 80s look. And of course a lot of knitting!

And with the accessories?

Kretschmer: The good news is: Bags are getting their normal size again! So not micro or mega-large, but rather feminine. In the case of shoes, there are crepe soles with inner plateaus.

A lot happens in terms of color, right?

Kretschmer: Of course! Above all, color blocking is a must now. Color combinations are also important. For example brown with red or yellow with green.

You wear a lot of black yourself. Hand on heart: How do you solve the problem with dog hair? After all, you have five great greyhounds …

Kretschmer: Packing tape instead of a lint roller is always possible. I also love my Dyson V11. Or you dip your hands in vinegar water and then run over your clothes. A real secret trick!

Is there a real outfit joker that every woman needs?

Kretschmer: Definitely a good coat in autumn and winter. For me it will definitely be the season of fine coats and I am delighted. But no fur collars please!

Are there still any fashionable no-gos?

Kretschmer: Animals don't work! Nobody has to wear a fox around their neck! In the meantime, I hardly ever use real leather in my collection. It works well and it feels good.

Do you think Corona has an impact on current fashion?

Kretschmer: I am convinced of that. More emphasis is placed on good again, and that remains. Many of us wonder who made our clothes. And: mouthguards become part of the style, a further accessory, so to speak. We designers are definitely in demand here.

Where will the fashion industry develop in the future?

Kretschmer: Whatever you feel good in will stay, while short-lived trends tend to disappear. Former trend items such as culottes or mom jeans are becoming a permanent fixture in the wardrobe, simply because women feel comfortable in them. For this we say goodbye to the logos. There is almost nothing new about currents. Fashion has changed massively. The industry is slowing down again.
