Three months ago, Hayden Panettiere was admitted for postnatal depression. At the Critics Choice Awards, the actress was happy again.
Actress Hayden Panettiere (26) has had a terrible year. After the birth of their little daughter Kaya in December 2014, the fiancé of professional boxer Wladimir Klitschko (39) suffered from postnatal depression.
"It's horrific when, as a mother, you can't feel love for this little creature, but only despair and sadness," Hayden described her agony in an interview. The postpartum depression solidified, and three months ago the 1.53 meter tall actress finally admitted herself to a clinic. "My condition won't go away on its own," she said. "It takes professional care and certainly antidepressants to get out of this hell valley again."
Hayden Panettiere: finally happy at the Critics Choice Awards
In the glittering world of Hollywood, which is geared towards a radiant facade, the Mimin's open way of dealing with her problems was a novelty. It must have been all the more difficult for Hayden Panettiere to get back into the spotlight and face the whispering adders of the dream factory.
But the therapeutic help obviously did the young mom good. Because at the Critics' Choice Awards, Hayden Panettiere presented herself without her Vladimir - but relaxed and radiant as it has not been for a long time. "I'm fine," she assured reporters. We are happy for you. And for daughter Kaya.
