Haute couture fashion wants to stand out, should stand out, is more of a work of art than a piece of clothing. This was proven again at the Haute Couture Week in Paris. LOVE!

The Olymp of the fashion world, the haute couture shows, took place in Paris for the last few days from January 20 to 23, 2020. Here the designers can really let off steam. The collections that are shown here are not intended and made for everyday life, but may or rather * should * be exaggerated, imaginative, lavish and one-of-a-kind - real works of art. Works of art that in many cases are not really intended to be worn, but rather to be admired - just like in a museum.
What does haute couture actually mean?
Even the name says it all. The term Haute Couture comes from French and means something like "upscale tailoring". In contrast to prêt-à-porter fashion, haute couture clothing is still made in elaborate and finely handcrafted fashion. Prêt-à-porter fashion, on the other hand, is produced industrially.
To get back to the "marvel": We have to admit that the reputation alone makes us very, very happy with many of these creations by Chanel, Iris van Herpen, Dior, Giambattista Valli, Viktor & Rolf, Valentino and Co! We have summarized our favorite looks of the last few days for you!
