For a long time, Hayden Panettiere struggled with postnatal depression. Now she can laugh again. And shows her cute daughter Kaya, beaming happily.
It was an extremely tough time for Hayden Panettiere. After the birth of her daughter Kaya, the actress and fiancee of star boxer Waldimir Klitschko suffered from severe postnatal depression and even had herself admitted to a psychiatric clinic twice.
"It is every mother's nightmare," says Hayden, "you want to do everything right - and you are so paralyzed by the disease that you can neither do the simplest things, and above all, hardly feel joy about your child."
In honest interviews, Hayden tried to reassure other women suffering from postnatal depression. "It is important to know that you are not the only mother who has to go through this. And that there is no shame in seeking professional help in this case."
But now the 27-year-old has apparently survived the disease - and can finally really enjoy her mother's happiness. Hayden Panettiere posted an adorable photo of her not so little daughter on Twitter:
Kaya is now two years old - and if the photo goes, at least in terms of her size, she's more like her father. In contrast to her 1.53 centimeter small mom, it is almost two meters tall!
