Infinitely chic & infinitely impractical: wrist pockets, also known as wristlets, compensate for their shortcomings with trendy designs.
They're small, cute, and kind of inconvenient: wristlets are back. These bags, which, as the name suggests, are worn on the wrist, had their fashion peak in the early 2000s. The pockets littered with logos were a must in the It-Girl wardrobe, especially if the logos could be attributed to designer brands. After years of carrying bags, the wrist retired and from then on was only responsible for presenting arm jewelery.
And so we pressed the little evening clutches against our body, under the armpits or sometimes between the knees, if no hand was free, and forgot that you can dance so much better with a simple loop. But as is the case with trends, everything comes back at some point. And now the time has come: Wristlet 2.0 is here. First seen at fashion shows by Salvatore Ferragamo, Loewe or Giorgio Armani, the wrist bag fights for a place in our hearts. But this time it is a lot bigger than its predecessors. So not only smartphone and credit cards have space in it, but also handkerchiefs, pads & tampons and whatever else you need in everyday life.
