It is nothing new that we are declared Lena Hoschek fans here. But our hearts were usually really open with their summery creations, which exuded a lot more joie de vivre. With the autumn / winter 2018/19 collection, however, which the Styrian designer just presented at Berlin Fashion Week, she has now caught us for the fresher temperatures!

She succeeds in doing this with clothes from a velvety dark, wildly flourishing world that is determined by elegance and femininity in a very Hoschek-like manner. To do this, she was inspired by books about the natural history of the plant kingdom and butterflies from 1880 and thus developed a collection that brings even the iciest of winter to bloom with a variety of botanical prints.

But not only plants enliven the two pieces, 18 hour dresses, cocktail dresses and wide-swinging skirts made of tweed, silk velvet, damask and brocade, but also beetles, caterpillars, butterflies and night owls based on the illustrations of the time.

And in keeping with the "Wintergarden" collection, the runway show took place in the atmospheric tropical house of the Berlin Botanical Garden, in the midst of the imposing splendor of real nature. But enough of the words, indulge with us in Lena Hoschek's new designs:
