There is a huge selection of face masks in the drugstore and you don't know which one to use? We have tested the latest hydrogel masks on our own faces and will tell you our favorites!

Oops, please don't be frightened! It's just us - we can't do otherwise and always test the latest trends. This time on the program: hydrogel masks. They are supposed to provide our skin with moisture, and as good as if we were massaging a whole bottle of serum. Is it true? Let's get to the bottom of it …
This is what the new hydrogel masks can do:
What's so great about hydrogel masks?
Hydrogel masks look similar to the usual sheet masks made of fleece, but consist of a kind of wafer-thin silicone layer and are therefore particularly slippery when put on. Attaching it is therefore a bit of a challenge. If you master this, the skin is given a decent dose of care. As much as a whole bottle of serum should be funneled into the skin, since the active ingredients get completely into the skin due to the material. After about 15-30 minutes, the skin should be well nourished. A moisture boost!
Are the hydrogel masks for my sensitive skin?
Good news: the hydrogel masks are for everyone! They all do moisturizing. Those who want to specifically tackle small problems can use special variants with an anti-aging effect or cleansing goodies. (HERE we have a guide for you which face mask is the right one for your skin type!)
4 hydrogel masks tested

"Instant Renewal Concentrate Mask" from Kiehl's

Applying the mask was a clumsy challenge for me. Since it consists of two parts and is relatively slippery, it took me three tries before I became the perfectly covered yellow monster. But applied it was really good, and my skin was no longer stretched. After about ten minutes I took it off and rubbed in the rest of the cream. Oh, that feeling of freshness! Yellow miracle, I like to see you again!

I love masks! So also my tested goodie. During the 30 minutes exposure time, I noticed how my thirsty skin soaks up the serum. Incidentally, I applied the excess in the pack beforehand, otherwise it would have been a waste. So even more moisture! My skin was glowy and well cared for afterwards. Gladly again!

My mask consists of two parts. One is for the upper half of the face and one for the lower half. So it was a breeze to hang up. It nestled itself really well against my face, so every area was well moisturized after the 15 minutes exposure time. My skin soaked up the mask completely, I only patted the remains on the skin gently after removing the mask. Really wonderful!
