Long hair in particular has a tendency to split ends. To prevent it from spreading further, hair needs to be cut regularly. We'll show you in an instruction video how to cut split ends yourself!

Every two months just to the hairdresser to cut tips and still pay 90 euros? That hurts. No matter how much or how little you earn. Elaborate hairstyles should always be left to the professionals when it comes to cutting tips and removing split ends, but women can use scissors themselves. After all, the next visit to the hairdresser has to wait a bit anyway … We'll show you how it's done without you crouching in a corner of the bathroom crying afterwards.

What you need for this:

  • hairbrush
  • Handle comb
  • Hair clips
  • Hair tie
  • a scissors

Instructions for DIY haircuts: cut split ends and tips yourself

1

First brush the (completely dry!) Hair well and part it in the middle.

2

Now section off the upper section of hair and pin it back with the hair clips.

3

Use the hair ties to tie the front hair (the one that will be cut) into small braids.

4

Now twist a strand (approx. 1 cm wide) together. Immediately you will see how small hairs stick out. This is the split ends.

5

Now carefully cut away the protruding hairs with the scissors.

ATTENTION: The scissors have to be sharp, otherwise you run the risk of even more split ends.

You can do the split-ends every few weeks, the hair doesn't get shorter, but it stays healthy.

… and before we forget - please be careful!;-)
