Lizzo has been spreading her message about body positivity for years, but she doesn't just talk about it. The "Truth Hurts" singer paves the way herself. Lizzo takes on her own beauty and reminds us all that we deserve to love the skin we are in.
Regardless of whether she poses as a centerfold girl in Playboy after this place was occupied by mostly thin, white women for decades, or reacts to body shaming trolls on social media with sheer never-ending positivity; she tries hard to rewrite the history of health and beauty - and we love her for it. "When people see my body and say, 'Oh my god, she's so brave,' I think, 'No, I'm not. I'm just me. I'm just sexy," the 31-year-old said in an interview last year.
After celebrity fitness trainer Jillian Michaels recently got angry about Lizzo's weight and health, the singer showed on Instagram that she won't let it spoil her day. During her tour, she took some well-earned free time on the beach and posed for a few photos in a gold bikini. Not only is the landscape of New Zealand beautiful, it is the message UNDER the Instagram posting that we particularly like! She writes:
"I love you. You're beautiful. You can do everything. (Repeat that!)"
