Avocado is the trend fruit par excellence - and now the superfood is also available in the huge variant called avozilla: so that you can run out of much, much more avocado bread per piece!

Godzilla is a notorious Japanese movie monster that was created from a lizard that was exposed to radioactive rays. It remains to be seen whether that was the best name for the avozilla, but it was probably only based on the oversized size of the very special type of avocado. Because supposedly this is neither radioactively contaminated nor genetically modified, but simply a special variety.
Which was also a chance find: one day it was growing in the garden of a post office in South Africa. And now everyone wants the avozilla to satisfy the tremendous desire for the green fruit.
This XXL variant should be around five times the size of a regular avocado and weigh an average of 1.8 kilos. In addition, this variety is said to stay fresh for about a week. In terms of taste, however, everything remains the same.
This is confirmed by the Australian David Grove, who now also grows the avozillas on his farm and charges the equivalent of 8 euros each: "A nursery nearby had one of these trees and we thought: 'Let's try that‘". After four years, the first harvest has now been brought in, and it was sold out within a very short time. And we are sure that the XXL avocado will soon begin its global triumph.
