When, six years after the breakup, you still can't hear your ex-boyfriend's songs!
Hearing a song that reminds us of the ex-boyfriend is painful in most cases. But what is it like when the ex-boyfriend is a very well-known musician? Can you still stand the songs of your band?
According to Alexa Chung probably not! At a Paris Fashion Week event, she suddenly heard the voice of her ex-boyfriend Alex Turner, frontman of the band Arctic Monkeys, singing the song "Fluorescent Adolescent" from their 2007 album "Favorite Worst Nightmare". That's another nice way to describe Chung and Turner's long-term on-off relationship. Chung didn't like the music at all so she politely asked the DJ to play another song! Awkward!
Chung and Turner's relationship ended in 2011. Six years ago. But it wasn't until a few years ago that she spoke about it for the first time. The two were the it-couple of the art scene. A model and a musician. Better than any cliché.
Since then, Chung has had other relationships, and most recently the one with actor Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies and True Blood) broke up. If you owe your lovesickness to Alex, you don't have to top it off and play old songs from your ex-boyfriend, who is also called Alex, to be reminded of another broken relationship.
But how will it go from now on? Will she no longer be able to watch any series or films in which Skarsgård appears? Will she never use the name Alex again =? We feel for you, Alexa! We feel for you!
