  • 100 g butter
  • 290 g of flour
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 g sheep cheese (cut into small cubes)
  • 1 medium-sized egg
  • 110 ml of milk
  • 30 g sun-dried tomatoes in oil
  • 3-4 teaspoons of pumpkin seeds

Preparation of the homemade tomato and sheep cheese bread

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Cover a loaf pan with baking paper on the bottom and butter the edges.

Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Spread 85 g of warm butter in pieces over the top.

Whisk the egg and milk together, chop the sun-dried tomatoes. Cut the sheep cheese into small cubes. Mix all ingredients together. It is best to knead the dough briefly with the food processor or the dough hook, then with your hands. Make sure that the dough is not kneaded for too long, otherwise the bread will be very hard.

As soon as all the ingredients are mixed together, it is poured into the loaf pan. Melt the remaining butter and brush the dough with it.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until the surface is golden brown. Then take it out and let it cool down.

The bread tastes best when it is a little lukewarm.
