There are days when you just don't want to go much further at work - you feel blocked inside. But these 7 tricks will help you make it slip again!
Start with the toughest or biggest task:
Do what you least enjoy doing first. After that you immediately feel much freer and more motivated. If you can do that, the other tasks will be a breeze.
If, on the other hand, you postpone unloved tasks for a long time, then you block yourself from other activities.
Why are you doing something
It helps when you understand why you are doing the individual activities in the first place. What is the long-term goal behind it? Because achieving the end result spurs you on to work even more effectively and with more motivation.
Design your workplace according to your taste - but
You should feel comfortable at your workplace, then your work will also be easier. With a big but: Because everything that you don't really need should actually disappear from your field of vision. In a tidy, structured workplace, it is more relaxed, faster and more effective to work.
You cannot take care of everything. With too many tasks it is easy to lose track of things and get stressed. This is why you sometimes say no to your colleagues when they ask you about things that may not even fall within your area.
Breaks are important:
Those who work a lot also have to rest again and again. Rest periods are therefore essential in order to be able to work effectively. Ideally, you should take a short break every 90 minutes and a longer break of 30 minutes after four hours.
Look at you
What you do outside of work also has an impact on your work: Make sure you drink enough, eat enough and balanced food, and get enough sleep.
