One of the most important sights of Luxembourg are the Bock casemates. This underground defense system made up of kilometer-long corridors was laid out under Spanish rule in the 17th century and subsequently expanded twice. The best way to experience the special flair of Luxembourg is to take a walk. The cultural and natural history Wenzel circular route crosses the famous Bock casemates, connects the upper and lower cities of Luxembourg and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the fortifications. If you like, you can also switch to a bike: the 9.5 kilometer UNESCO route leads through the Petrussthal and the lower towns of Grund, Clausen and Pfaffenthal to a total of 80 sights.
