Valun on the island of Cres
Valun is a small fishing village on Cres. Only two restaurants and a campsite can be found there. That means the beaches are as good as empty. So if you're looking for a bit of seclusion, you've come to the right place. Cres offers a few secluded bays anyway. Orlec Beach, also called Geierbucht, is not that easy to get to, but it is definitely worth a visit. The path to the beach is steep, but still quite manageable. A great bay awaits you, where vultures circle around - so the name is no coincidence.
Katarina island in the bay of Rovinj
The island can only be reached by boat or boat taxi. Turquoise blue water surrounds the small island and you can enjoy the water and the beach in peace. The gardens are also beautiful.
Kaprije Island and Piškera Island
A trip with the sailing boat in the Kornati islands is definitely recommended. Two islands are particularly beautiful: the island of Kaprije and the island of Piškera. The islands are not particularly exciting, but you definitely have your peace there. There is plenty of wild rosemary and even pomegranates on Kaprije. If you go there in the later summer months, you might even get the chance to get hold of a ripe pomegranate in one or the other garden.
Kožino near Zadar
If you want to escape from the crowd in Zadar, we recommend the small town of Kožino. A few minutes by car you will find a great bathing plateau with crystal clear water. You have to climb into the water over steps and rocks, but the water is much clearer than in Zadar. There are only a few apartments and villas in the mini-village. The Santorini lounge offers drinks and good food. And best of all: the loungers in front of the lounge are free. It is best to drive along Put Svetog Bartula Street until you get a parking space and just follow the street between the apartments down to the beach.
2 insider tips for the capital Zagreb
In the gallery you can find souvenirs and accessories from young Croatian designers. If you want to take something special with you from your vacation that is "made in croatia", this is the right place. And while you're there, you can also visit the Najgora kava u gradu café. A hip cafe with delicious ice cream.
Insider tips for the island of Rab
A boat trip to the moon bay is really recommended - it is wonderfully quiet there and you can relax wonderfully. The moon bay is located on the northeast side of the island and is about half an hour away from the town of Rab. The restaurant on Frkanj Beach in Suha Punta is also recommended. There is a boat dock there and the food is really lovely. The place is idyllic and the water is clear. Everything is just right there.
