Once you've conjured up granola yourself, you're guaranteed never to buy granola from the supermarket again! Not only is it "baked" quickly and easily, it is also far healthier than the packaged alternative.

Ingredients:

  • 300 g of oatmeal
  • 100 g chopped nuts (of your choice: almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts …)
  • 100 ml honey or agave syrup
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar or a few drops of vanilla extract
  • 1 generous pinch of salt
  • other ingredients according to personal taste: for example cinnamon, coconut chips, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl, then add the oil and sweetness and mix carefully so that all the flakes and nuts are covered in a thin layer. Then spread out on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, depending on the oven, until golden yellow.

In between, perhaps mix briefly with a fork so that the same degree of crispness and browning is achieved on all sides.

Then let it cool down - now everything will be firm and crispy - and finally pour it into a storage jar.

If you don't sniff everything away beforehand, your granola should last for 3-4 weeks.

Milk, yoghurt, curd cheese, fresh fruit and / or dried fruit go well with this.
