After our first big WOMAN mascara test last year, we have now subjected 8 different waterproof mascara to the endurance test. Because even on a hot day at the lake, we don't want to do without our bright, big eyes, do we? 8 WOMAN editors, with different demands, test 8 mascaras in different price ranges. Which one keeps what it promises? Here is the result:
Lancome Hypnôse (waterproof)

I already like the look of the mascara, because it is slim and has a subtle design. The brush is slightly curved and the mascara can be applied without any problems. You don't get too much paint either, as is often the case with other products. The consistency is also ideal, not too runny, not too crumbly. The result: the eyelashes look good, the look is good and ideal for the office. If I were to put on make-up to go to a club, the effect would not be strong enough for me.
In the evening I want to free my eyes from the black color with a cotton pad and make-up remover. I hardly succeed, the ink sticks to my lashes like cement. After an extensive, but still not 100% successful, cleaning procedure, I give up and go to sleep.

I'm really happy that I was able to test the Dior mascara, because from now on it will be my favorite summer companion! The application is child's play thanks to the curved brush and I really like the fact that it gives off a lot of color so that after the 2nd or 3rd layer there are flies legs! It also passed the waterproof test with flying colors - after a full day of bathing - including a dive - nothing goes here!

The first thing that strikes you with the black and pink Miss Manga is the integrated joint in front of the brush head, which makes it appear a bit wobbly when it is used. I inked my eyelashes twice, but the effect is not as intoxicating as the subtitle "Mega Volume" might promise. Instead, nothing crumbles or crumbles - neither during application nor during the day. In fact, water - in the form of a face wash - cannot do much to the hold: Nothing runs off, but a few black crumbs can now be seen under the eye. Removing make-up with the appropriate eye make-up remover is a little more tedious than with my regular mascara, but it is completely unproblematic.

I think it's really great that the mascara immediately creates momentum and a lot of volume. The consistency of the mascara is a little more fluid, so the brush absorbs a lot of color and yet the lashes are perfectly separated from each other. The drying time takes a while, but the mascara lasts a long time without crumbling! She also mastered the shower test, the water jets couldn't harm the lashes. Removing make-up was just a little more laborious, but that's what you buy - after all, a waterproof mascara should keep what it promises! 100 points for YSL.

The application of the mascara is super - it dries very quickly and you should touch it up immediately (if, like me, something goes wrong often;))
The brush is relatively large but still easy to use.
This mascara is really waterproof and nothing runs / smears. Although I have to use eye drops regularly, everything is still as it was before. (Wiping your hands over your eyes is forbidden, though) Finally a mascara that makes me feel safe and doesn't have to look in the mirror all the time. Big plus: Also very suitable for contact lens wearers (like me). Make-up removal works without any problems!

I usually never use waterproof mascara, which means that my fellow human beings experience me pure in the summer. But I actually have to say that the Waterproof Big Eyes Mascara from Maybelline that I tested would be worth considering if wearing waterproof mascara in the future. Not only does it have 2 different brushes (for the upper and lower lashes), but the color and shape are not lost even after being dipped into the water several times. And when I wanted to remove make-up with the help of an eye make-up remover, no traces remained. So if you use this mascara, you are not doing anything wrong in my opinion!

High Impact Mascara by Clinique (waterproof)

The sports mascara! In summer, as a swimmer, a waterproof mascara is less about mega-volume or perfectly separated eyelashes, but more about a bomb-proof hold. Not too much product sticks to the brush of the High Impact, the texture is creamy and the lashes do not become rock hard after drying. If the pressure is too strong, the eyelashes stick together a little, but that doesn't bother me personally. Because for me, the mascara does exactly what I want: Despite several swimming sessions in the chlorine, the waterproof mascara does not smear or crumble a bit. It even holds so well that I use it on my lower lash line before a day of bathing (which I usually don't do to avoid panda eyes). However, the color intensity loses a little - instead of black, it takes on a gray-black shade over the course of the day. With a special remover for waterproof make-up, it can then be easily removed in the evening without rubbing heavily.
