When thinking of essential oils, many people first think of scented oils for the home. The essences have been used as remedies for centuries. Especially in the cold and wet season, essential oils can be a real miracle cure and strengthen the immune system. Physiotherapist & aromatherapy specialist Nadine Petzel explains how we can use the oils to get through the winter healthily.

"Essential oils have a positive effect on the immune system by supporting the body's self-healing powers," explains Nadine Petzel. She herself uses the essential oils to accompany her therapies, therapies and massages. "Plants produce essential oils in order to adapt to their environmental conditions and to ward off bacteria, viruses or fungi," explains the expert.
