If there are already dark circles under the eyes, there is only one thing left to do: put concealer on! But which concealer best covers the dark blue shadows and lets the eyes shine properly again? The WOMAN editorial team is testing a total of 15 concealers in different price categories. Here is our conclusion including a before and after photo!
Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Éclat, No. 01 Rose

My conclusion:
My claims: I ALWAYS have dark circles. They should be destroyed every day. In addition, I also want a concealer to cover and retouch pimples and other irregularities.
His reputation: EVERYONE of my friends and colleagues (e.g. every beauty blogger) uses the Touche Éclat. Now that I've tried it, I'm not surprised.
Opacity: The dark circles weapon is actually less of a concealer. Touche Éclat doesn’t really cover, but rather brightens dark circles and imperfections in order to visually retouch them. Works flawlessly!
Satisfaction: Great, will be my constant companion for the next 100 years.
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer

My conclusion:
My claims: Cover my dark circles under the eyes, small rednesses and set highlights (e.g. bridge of the nose, brow arch).
How does he feel: The texture looks very firm at first, but is wonderfully creamy and can be easily spread with a brush or with your fingers without rubbing.
Opacity: Very good coverage even with reddened skin and pigment spots. It is also great as a highlighter, despite the very subtle and natural color.
Satisfaction: Wonderful! Mainly because the concealer comes in combination with a powder. This is how you can fix it - which is a really good countermeasure, especially on long days when the color tends to settle in wrinkles in the eyes or the lids.

My conclusion:
My claims: Since I somehow have no dark circles, I generally don't use a concealer. Therefore, the before-and-after effect turned out to be rather inconspicuous for me. But I had an absolute WOW moment when I used it for my red spots and pimples. Perfectly suited for a covering result.
How does he feel: When applied, the concealer is quite sticky, so it's best to mix it with the day cream, then it is easier to spread.
Satisfaction: I'm pretty happy with the result. For my blemished areas of skin, I tend to use make-up for the entire face, but for in between, or if a pimple is particularly stubborn, the concealer can help me out ideally.

That's what I call a really bright concealer! Even for me, model water corpse, it's almost too light. What I can't do anything with, however, is the consistency. This is because it is way too firm - even if you remove the paint from the pencil with your finger and heat it up a little with friction. Therefore, the cover cannot be spread over the sensitive facial skin too well. The coverage is very good, but just too compact for my taste.

My claims: Only when I am stressed, drink little water and hardly get to sleep can small shadows be noticed under the eyes. That makes my complexion look tired & pale - reaching for the concealer is the perfect solution. However, the concealer must not settle in the eye crease !!!
How does he feel: The liquid consistency is light, spreads very well and has good coverage. In the beginning the concealer is very creamy, but after gently patting it in, it provides a naturally matt result. Tip: Carefully press the pump attachment, otherwise too much concealer will slip out. Great: Feels really good, covers well, is matt and lasts really long!
Opacity: Covered really well and made for a matt result! Even small bumps like pimples disappear in no time.

My claims: After a long night of partying, my eyes often look tired and you can see dark circles under the eyes. To quickly get a fresh look again, the Alverde concealer is perfect.
Opacity: It adapts well to my skin tone and is very economical to use: Even a small amount covers dark circles. Skin imperfections can also be covered very well, so don't be afraid of pimplearlam.
Use: It is really easy to use: just like a lip gloss, apply it under the eye with a brush sponge and pat in with your fingers.

My conclusion:
In terms of shape and design, this concealer is reminiscent of a lipstick: in the middle of a care stick is the color that is applied together. The consistency is therefore creamy, but still a bit too compact for me and the sensitive area around the eyes. The cover isn't too thick, but okay.
Satisfaction: Unfortunately, after a few hours, the color settles in the wrinkles around the eyes.

How does he feel: This product is more of an all-rounder that is supposed to refresh the skin and make it glow. It is a rather liquid product, which is why the fluid can be distributed well. It has a small brush and there is also a plastic sponge on the other side of the concealer. What am I supposed to do with it? I honestly didn't get it.
Opacity: What actually amazed me: Although the color on the brush looked very dark and I was worried that it would make orange spots on my face, the concealer spreads wonderfully and can be blended almost invisibly with the skin tone. Small disadvantage: dark pigment spots or reddened skin are not perfectly covered.
Satisfaction: Pleasant to use and a beautiful color that blends in with the natural skin tone.

How does he feel: Since I'm one of those lucky people who don't have to worry about dark circles, I actually have zero expectations of a concealer. Accordingly, the before-and-after effect turned out to be correspondingly micro-meager. In general, however, I expect the concealer to be easy to apply, cover well and look natural.
All-rounder: IQ's concealer is multiple colors that produce different results. The description on the back is also quite helpful, so that you always know what which color is meant for and what result will be achieved for it.
Opacity: The concealer perfectly covered the unclean areas of skin and individual pimples on the forehead, chin and nose area. In addition, the different colors could be used to make up the eye area.
Satisfaction: I think the idea of having multiple colors for different results is pretty good. However, I know myself and if something takes too long to put on makeup, I don't do it. Therefore, this product is suitable either for absolute make-up professionals, lovers or people with a lot of time in front of the mirror in the morning.

I've heard so much good things about this concealer that I couldn't wait to make my dark circles go away. Above all, it was said that this would definitely not settle in the wrinkles around the eyes. But that's exactly what happened after a few hours. However, the wonderfully velvety, liquid consistency and the color, which merges perfectly with my skin tone, should be positively emphasized.
Cover: The cover is more on the delicate side, but I didn't want to add more color due to the offset.

The powdery-creamy concealer, in the practical mini-palette, has a somewhat tougher consistency and is still super easy to spread. Dark circles and small blemishes are corrected and covered in no time at all. Top: With SPF 25! In addition: covers well and lasts a long time!
Top: Practical and small, so ideal for the handbag to provide more freshness in between! By the way: just dab on the lips for the perfect nude look.;-)

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Complexion Correction Pen

In comparison, the concealer from La Roche - Posay (point 7) is not quite as convincing to me.
Opacity: Due to its yellow tinge, the color does not quite match my skin tone and therefore does not look so natural. It is also less convenient for me when it comes to handling, as the cream can only be used after a long period of rotation when it is first applied (I had already thought it was broken).
Minus: Unfortunately, the brush already looks a bit worn after the first use.
