Bushy eyebrows have been a trend for a long time and, thank goodness, bring the look back in a natural direction. Not that the overly plucked brows of the 1990s didn't have their charm too. Unfortunately, this trend has cost countless women their brow hairs, which to this day do not grow back properly.
But this woman does not allow herself to be dictated, because she lives her life with the most conspicuous monobrows that we have seen in a long time. In an interview with Harpers Bazaar, the model told how she got her jet black facial mane. "I saw a video on YouTube in which someone dyed their eyebrows. I also tried it, only my eyes went jet black. My brother said, however, that it would look good on me."
Since then she has regularly colored her eyebrows and tended them every evening with castor oil. And she calls for her own kind of body positivity with the hashtag #unibrowmovement. "I hate this double-edged sword in society, where it is supported when people put make-up on their eyebrows to make them look fuller, but I still get insulted for why I don't do that too," criticized Hadjipanteli. And really, when you plow through her Instagram feed, you realize that negative comments are not far away.
Apparently there are still people who confuse 'natural' with neglected, but only with women! Because men with armpit hair and unplucked eyebrows are in very few cases insulted for their 'unkempt appearance'. But feminist Sophia Hadjipanteli shakes it off easily. She doesn't want to be determined by an externality: If she feels like wearing wild make-up, she would do it. And if she also feels like letting her eyebrows grow wild, that's her absolute right.
Standing by your natural side and still not wanting to do without make-up, hair coloring and a striking style is not a contradiction in terms! Every person has the right to stage themselves as he or she suits them. There are no rules of the game in the beauty and fashion world, except that it does not harm others. But I don't see how a monobrow could be used as a murder weapon.
