The Italian luxury label Gucci, in whose collections fur has repeatedly played a major role, is now making a complete U-turn and wants to do without animal skins in the future.
When a managing director listens to the youth: Gucci CEO Marco Bizzarri asked 150 young people what was bad about the Gucci brand and it came out that the luxury company will completely do without real fur in the future. We remember: A company that previously relied heavily on fur and even shipped it in and on Schlapfen or open shoes.
In addition, the label will officially become part of the Fur Free Alliance and will neither use fur nor present it in any way in the future - as Stella McCartney, Armani and Calvin Klein, among others, are already doing. This will be implemented for the first time with the 2018 spring / summer collection.
There have been talks with designer Alessandro Michele about this for a long time and now there are now high-quality, but animal-friendly alternatives that the company wants to use.
