If you haven't heard the name Ellie Goldstein yet, get ready to hear and see it * everywhere *. Goldstein may only be 18 years old, but she has already made history. She was the first model with Down syndrome to appear in an international beauty campaign for Gucci.
Goldstein is following in the footsteps of runway models Madeline Stuart, Jamie Brewer and Kate Grant, all of whom were born with trisomy 21. Goldstein was featured in the Gucci beauty campaign in collaboration with Vogue Italia in June. Now she is the cover model for Allure's December digital home page.

"When I saw my picture on Gucci's Instagram account, I thought: Wow! Who is that? Is that me or what ?!" Goldstein told Allure: "My friends and family saw it. It felt very special to me."
Goldstein achieved the campaign through Gucci Beauty and Vogue Italia's Instagram scouting initiative. With the Gucci shoot, Goldstein was able to get model jobs at Glamor UK, YOU Magazine and MyTheresa.
Ellie Goldstein is under contract with Zebedee Management. According to its own statements, the agency has a "no stupid questions policy" - be it about the changing room or the toilets: "It should be a positive experience for everyone," says Zoe Proctor, one of the founders of the management.
Initially, many brands did not want to work with Goldstein because they were "not ready for it"; As Ellie's recent modeling jobs show, things seem to be changing in the fashion world right now.
