You have just showered, used deodorant, a fresh T-shirt and still you start to smell after two hours? Then you should try it!

We all know them, the nasty substances that literally soak up the smell of sweat and never let go of it again. Shirts and tops of this type still smell bad even after being washed several times and there is only one thing left - throw it in the bin! Because every time we put them on again - even if we've had a fresh shower and have used the deodorant properly - you smell of sweat again after what feels like an hour. But not because we are acidic or simply using the wrong deodorant, but because the smell is still stuck in the fabric. But we have the ultimate tip for you! So you no longer have to throw away your clothes, just clean them according to these instructions.
Baking powder and vinegar essence against sweat odor
So simple and yet so ingenious! Baking powder and a little vinegar essence can save the shirt's life and protect us from embarrassing odors. And in this way:
- Fill a spray bottle one third with vinegar essence and two thirds with water (distilled water is best).
- Spray the underarm area of the shirt completely with the vinegar essence, also from the inside.
- Now generously put baking powder on it - outside and inside.
- Spray sparingly on the same areas. The baking powder will now start to foam.
- Gently rub the whole thing with your fingers so that the fabric is completely covered with the mixture.
- Let the paste sit for an hour or two and then put it in the washing machine.
- It is best to wash it at 60 degrees (many shirts can take more than you think).
- Overzealous people can also add some hygienic rinse.
- If necessary: Before a second wash, clean the armpit area with a little gall soap, let it take effect and wash again.
- Tip: Put some baking soda in the washing powder drawer. Soda neutralizes odors! It is also part of baking soda. Incidentally, vinegar has an antibacterial effect.
- Still smell of sweat? Diluted alcohol can work wonders. You can read more about this here.
By the way, we also tested this experiment with black shirts. The color of the clothing remains intact! If you want to imitate our hack, you will find all the utensils here:
