Unfortunately, your favorite shoes start to stink after wearing them for the third time? We have a remedy - with these tricks to get rid of sweaty feet once and for all!

Almost everyone knows the following scenario: Summer. Heat. The favorite shoes. It's all OK. But only as long as you don't have to take off your shoes. The thought alone causes panic. Why? Smelly, sweaty cheese feet!
If you fall in love with a pair of shoes, you often only have a few days before they degenerate from your favorite to the smelly shoe. This leads to downright social anxiety when one is forced to take off the muffle couple unexpectedly. But don't worry - you are far from alone. So we took it upon ourselves to find the root of the problem and put an end to sweaty feet once and for all.
What can be done against sweaty feet?
The interesting thing: Most of the time, it's not about ourselves, it's about the shoe! Because sweat is typically odorless; The unpleasant smell usually comes from lingering on your clothes or body for a long time. To cut a long story short: shoes are the perfect breeding ground for bacteria when you sweat excessively - and it only gets worse when you put your feet in the same shoe every day.
How do you get the smell out of your shoes?
Once bacteria and odor have settled, the stinky shoe is hard to smell. The top rule is to change your shoes regularly and give them time to dry again. Preferably in an airy place and not in the closet. Even in grandma’s day, people used ingenious home remedies to defend themselves against this - and they actually work best for sweaty feet.
A tried and tested tip is to put your shoes in the freezer! That's right - put the shoes in a (plastic) bag and put them in the freezer overnight. That kills the bacteria. Baking powder or baking soda also absorb excess liquid and neutralize odors. Coffee powder works just as well, by the way. Simply sprinkle it on your shoes and let it take effect. Insoles made of leather also contain the worst. Incidentally, tea tree oil is a little more extreme, but all the more effective. The strong smelling oil is simply dripped into the shoe and dried overnight. The advantage: The oil smells very strong for some noses, but it has an antiseptic and antibacterial effect at the same time and thus prevents diseases such as fungi.
Tip:
Be careful with shoe deodorants. They were designed to neutralize odors; but by spraying, moisture is created in the shoe again. And as already mentioned, it is a wonderful breeding ground for bacteria.
