It's so sweet to show the bond between mother and child through fashion: The new design collection at H&M and a local label present fashion for the whole family.

They have become a cherished and still coveted tradition: The design cooperations of H&M, where we can shop for exceptional creations by big names in the fashion world for less! And the latest cooperation has just been announced: with the favorite of the stars, the Irish designer Simone Rocha.
Simone Rocha was practically born of the fashion talent. Because her father is the successful designer John Rocha. She initially wanted to be an artist, but then she began to assist in her father's company: "At the age of 15 it was clear to me that there was only one way for me: a fashion designer. Fabrics, patterns, cuts - that is with me all my life."

And in her now 10-year career, she impressed at London Fashion Week with, among other things, an innovative mix of materials (such as cellophane with lace or knitwear), playful and feminine designs, paired with coarse details such as her legendary brogues with plexiglass soles.

And so these elements are also reflected in the new Simone Rocha x H&M collection: with checks, pearls, flowers, shades of pink, tailor-made fabrics, sparkling jewelry and pearl-studded shoes. But in addition to Rocha's signature women's fashion, the collection will also include men's and children's fashion. Incidentally, this is the first time that Simone Rocha has offered a selection for the whole family.

The collection, which will be available from March 11, 2021, was particularly close to the heart of H&M chief designer Ann-Sofie Johansson: "All of us at H&M were so inspired to work with a designer who spends so much time thinking about contemporary femininity and reflect on the "womanhood" that is so dedicated to the excellence of craftsmanship and design - from the process of developing special fabrics to perfecting silhouettes, shapes and decorations. Every garment in this collection is unique, special and the result of years Work and meticulous research."
Even more fashion for young and old: from Lower Austria
It was precisely during the lockdown that the new label "Ich & Mummy" became a success story. The clothing brand was founded by the Lower Austrian career changer Michael Plank in spring 2020 and focuses primarily on sustainable mom-and-child partner outfits.

He was inspired by the intense time he spent with his daughter and the strong bond he felt between his wife and child: "The idea of creating partner outfits that look great on both a child and a mother just doesn't appeal to me let go more. And so I ventured into new territory, although I had no idea how to bring a collection to market, "says Plank.

The current winter collection focuses on comfortable hoodies, t-shirts, dresses and skirts as well as jackets - for girls and boys. Most of the soft fabrics are organic cotton from sustainable producers in Greece.

The entire German-speaking area is supplied from Plank's place of residence, Aspang. “At the beginning of the year I had no idea about fashion and at the end of the year I send up to several parcels a day with our clothes to mothers in Austria and Germany. I can confidently say that 2020 held many positive surprises in store for me,”says the Neo founder proudly. The products are available in the online shop ichundmummy.com as well as in the stores “Mami Laden” in Graz and the “Trendwerk Mini & Mamas” in Bad Ischl.
