Karl Lagerfeld was without a doubt one of the greats in the fashion world. He designed for Chanel, Fendi and also his own fashion house. It was not for nothing that he was considered one of the hardest working designers. In his 70 years of activity, the way fashion is worn, seen and understood today has changed - with his collections, but also his legendary quotes. The saying "Anyone who wears jogging pants has lost control of their life" will not be forgotten.
Lagerfeld didn't just have a vision of his designs and shows - he went beyond; and surprised every time. In 2017, for example, a gigantic spaceship was seen on the catwalk; in 2014 it transformed the Grand Palais into a Chanel supermarket, had its models demonstrated on the street or checked in its guests with Chanel Airlines. No idea seemed too fancy or too decadent to him - with every collection the world witnessed a genius. Nothing less, nothing more.
