"The new rock 'n' roll is meat-free" **
The meat-free brand Linda McCartney's celebrates its 30th anniversary with the entry into the Austrian market and starts with a range of 9 frozen vegetable products. The brand was founded in 1991 by Linda McCartney, Sir Paul McCartney's first wife. Linda was a photographer, a mother, an activist, but above all a pioneer of the early vegetarian movement. The McCartney family works tirelessly to keep their legacy alive. The mission was to show from the very beginning that tasty, meat-free meals and the shared joy of good food do not have to be at the expense of animal welfare, the planet or our bodies. In addition, this food should be affordable for everyone. “We wanted vegetarian food not to be elitist. It should be easy and available to everyone. So Linda had it tasted by English truckers on the Autobahn and was successful. That helped the Meat Free movement to resonate with the general public,”said Paul McCartney about the brand's early days.
