Austria has so much to offer, and yet unfortunately we often don't know enough about it. That will change: We asked nine celebrities for insider tips for their home state.

Burgenland
ORF sports presenter Mari Lang, 41, in addition to her work as a presenter, last year she also started her blog "Stories from the Crisis" and her podcast "Questions about women - The podcast with Mari Lang". Despite everyday stress, family and work, the Viennese by choice likes to take the time to visit her home country.

Where is your personal place of power in Burgenland?
In the St. Martins Therme in Frauenkirchen. It's only a stone's throw from Vienna, but every time I go there I feel like I'm at the end of the world.
Which accommodation would you recommend to Burgenland holidaymakers?
I think the Weinlofts in southern Burgenland are really great, because you can completely switch off and relax in the middle of the vineyards.
Which place will you be the very first to show your guests?
Definitely Rust. From spring to summer you can see storks around the lake, and the picturesque old town is really unique. Every time I am there and stroll around, the beautiful, sometimes colorful, house facades transport me to a different time.
Salzburg
Gastronom and entrepreneur Sepp Schellhorn, 53: "In a tavern the landlord creates" is the motto of the successful entrepreneur and father of three. No wonder that the Seehof Goldegg and the four other businesses are doing so well. But the NEOS politician also likes to stop at other places in Salzburg.

Do you have a personal place of power in Salzburg?
It's located under the chestnuts in our guest garden at the Seehof. There is something extraordinary about these chestnuts. I spent my childhood by these trees, playing or alone.
Which excursion destination is a must-see?
The Liechtenstein Gorge in St. Johann. The spectacular spiral staircase goes 30 meters down and is really an absolute experience.
When you invite guests to a restaurant (not necessarily your own), where does it go?
Into the paradox. Martin Kilga is great, both as a cook and as a host. In summer, however, I am always in my M32 restaurant on Mönchsberg. Especially because the terrace with the most beautiful view in the world is located here (laughs).
Tyrol
The city comedy "Lederhosenaffäre" will be broadcast on ORF and ARTE at the end of the summer. Until then, has an actress Josephine Bloéb, 28, some ideas for wonderful hours in your home region of Tyrol.

Which unique location do you show your guests first?
Probably the greenhouse in downtown Innsbruck. It is one of the best cultural institutions in the city. I spent most of my youth here. Waitered during the day and then played in the Treibhaus-Turm theater in the evening.
Where should you stay the night in Tyrol?
When I have visitors, my friends sleep with me. Otherwise, I would be happy to recommend the Stanglwirt organic and wellness hotel in Going am Wilden Kaiser.
Which café do you have to visit?
The Café Konditorei Munding in the old town has the best hot chocolate. They put a creamy chocolate ball in the glass that is the size of a child's fist. Milk is then poured over it.

Carinthia
The versatile entrepreneur was born and raised Hannes Jagerhofer, 59, in Klagenfurt. He also lives here with his family. He has even dedicated a book to the most beautiful places in the southernmost state.

What do visitors to Carinthia absolutely have to experience here?
Very simple: you choose Carinthia as your holiday base and from here you make day trips to the two neighboring countries Italy and Slovenia.
Where do you take your guests first?
To the charming Seeschlössl in Velden. It is a unique place of strength with a lovingly prepared breakfast buffet on every single table. Certainly the best breakfast on this continent!
The coolest destination is …?
I have listed some of them in my book "Kärnten pur & meer". But the Weißensee as a top tip is already unique.

Styria
The singer and songwriter was born Leo Aberer, 43, in Vienna, but the green heart of Austria has always beat in it. Therefore, he was drawn to Graz at an early age, where he lives and also wants to grow old.

When guests come from Vienna, for example. Where are you going first?
To the loo on Murinsel (laughs)! Then on the Schlossberg, because El Gaucho has the best steak.
Where would you like to give a concert in your adopted country?
Either in the Graz Opera or in Karlau prison, like Johnny Cash.
You can eat really well in Styria …
… in the small house in the forest near Mariatrost. There are great dishes and a wonderful natural spectacle. Incidentally, I lived in Mariatrost as a child. And once the snow was so deep here that everything had to be locked and we went to school on skis. Really cool!
Vorarlberg
Sabine Haag, 59, is General Director of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien - but she was born in Bregenz. She is always particularly happy when she finds time to travel to Vorarlberg with her three sons. There she not only spends time in nature, but also enjoys the cultural scene.

What do you have to see in Vorarlberg?
So first of all Bregenz with the lake promenade, the KUB (Kunsthaus Bregenz), the Vorarlberg Museum, on to Hohenems to the Jewish Museum and then to the must-see, the women's museum in Hittisau.
Is there a place of strength for you here?
Yes, in any case! Lake Constance is a particularly magical place in my childhood where I grew up.

The best food is in …
… New Weiss restaurant in Bregenz, where Milena Broger cooks. She is one of the most innovative cooks.
The most unusual destination to visit?
Definitely BUS: STOP. There are seven stops in Krumbach that were designed by seven international architects, such as the "forest" by Sou Fujimoto.
Lower Austria
Ö3 editor Inka Pieh, 33, was born in the Kamptal, grew up and settled down there again after various stops: After a day at work, the ORF presenter prefers to dash through the hilly landscape on a racing bike. But the region has a lot more to offer …

Which accommodation would you recommend to guests?
When I do sport, I often walk past Grafenegg Castle Park, and that's where I find the cottages wonderful.
Is there a special destination that you absolutely should see?
I would say: Off to the Wachau World Heritage Site! Up to the Jauerling or the Aggstein ruins (which, by the way, are much less touristy than the Dürnstein ruins) and enjoy the fantastic scenery. And then definitely go to the Heuriger and eat a real "Wachauer Laberl"!

Which restaurant do you prefer to take friends to?
I particularly like to eat at the Blumentritt in St. Aegyd am Neuwalde. We often stay there and stay overnight. The rooms are simple, the food absolutely amazing. The perfect dating location is the Ottenstein reservoir. Pack a picnic basket, rent a pedal boat and start cruising. Ahoy!
Upper Austria

In which restaurant or eatery do you often meet?
In Rooftop 7. I also like to go there with visitors first. The bar is also a restaurant, and what the chef conjures up in this mini kitchen is unique. Please be sure to try the steak with a salt crust. Or in the pianino. They also have a small kitchen, but a really great menu.
If you have visitors, where would you stay your guests?
I would recommend the Hotel Schwarzer Bär, as it is located on Linzer Herrenstrasse and is therefore super central.
Which cafe would you go on a date?
I would go into Tiktak there. They have the best ambience. Unfortunately, I don't drink coffee, but the atmosphere is great!
Vienna
actress Proschat Madani, 53, loves Vienna and its various forms of politeness. There are plenty of walks and moments of enjoyment provided for here and there, and we now know exactly where this is best.

Where do you take your guests first in Vienna?
Ins Ubl, the most beautiful inn with the most wonderful pub garden. And the boss cooks excellent Viennese cuisine. Or we go to Tancredi, where the cooking is just as excellent as it is unpretentious. And the beautiful garden borders a football cage. Great!
Where is your place of power?
The Pötzleinsdorfer Schlosspark is such a place for me. Every walk there is a meditation, and every now and then you come across a deer.
What makes Vienna so special?
The cafes. You can recognize any really good Viennese coffee house by the fact that regulars are served more sloppily than walk-in customers.
