The family business "Goldblatt" relies on herbal ingredients in their products to "save animals and protect our planet." They founded the company in April of this year. There are now eight different spreads in the range - frying fat, hunter pate, egg salad, smoked salmon salad - all without any animal ingredients. Instead, herbs, mushrooms, beans, chickpeas, lentils and tofu are used. Without flavor enhancers.

Incidentally, the spreads don't just taste good on bread. The Styrian start-up is serving up vegan mini pizzas for us today. Easy and done with little effort.

Recipe for vegan mini pizzas (six pieces)

You need this:

For the dough:

  • 275 grams of flour
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • a bit of salt
  • 1/2 cube of yeast
  • 180 ml of lukewarm water

For covering:

  • 1 glass gypsy goose
  • 400 grams of mushrooms
  • 1 red onion
  • fresh basil

That's how it works:

Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water. Put the flour in a large bowl. Mix in the salt and olive oil and gradually add the water with the dissolved yeast as well. Knead everything vigorously until you get an even dough. If the dough sticks, carefully add a little more flour. Let the dough rise in the bowl in a quiet place, covered, for about an hour.

In the meantime, cut the mushrooms into strips and fry them briefly in a little oil in a hot pan. Be careful that they don't get too dark, because they'll come back in the oven later.

After the dough has risen, knead again and roll out on a floured work surface. Cut out six circles of the same size or shape by hand. Spread the spread and mushrooms on the mini pizzas. Place in the preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 15 minutes. Professional tip: before serving, sprinkle a pinch of freshly ground pepper on top and garnish with fresh basil.
