Atypical

Fashion editor Magalena Jahn: In today's world, in which everything always seems to be "perfect", the series shows that this is not the case if you just take a closer look behind the facade. In the series, a fanatical penguin fan who suffers from autism proves that despite his illness (and a constantly worried mother) he can achieve anything he wants - albeit in a roundabout way and in his very special (and really funny) way and Way.

While Sam tries to find his way around in a world between the North Pole and everyday high school madness, his younger sister Casey is plagued by her very own love carousel, which begins with a great love for a boy, but ultimately ends in a chaotic love affair with her best friend Izzie. And on top of that there are the two parents, Elsa and Doug, who try to keep the family together despite a serious marital crisis. Great cast, great music, great storyline!

Kim's convenience

Art Director Heimo Novak: The Kims, a Korean-Canadian family, run a convenience store in Toronto. The quick-tempered family patriarch Appa, in particular, has to contend with the changes in his business, his family and the Regent Park residential area. See how the family copes with everyday life with a lot of humor. With Simu Liu, upcoming (and first Asian) Marvel hero! On Netflix.

You - you will love me

Fashion editor Claudia Dam: On October 15, the third season of the series "You" starts on Netflix. In the lead role: Joe Goldberg, bookseller and violent psychopath who constantly talks to himself, who stalks his dream woman and tries everything to win her over. He also walks over corpses (be careful, spoilers). At the end of the second season he moves to the suburbs with his pregnant and no less dangerous dream woman number two. What will happen in the new season cannot be predicted due to the many plot twists. I expect a particularly creepy Penn Badgley as Joe ("Gossip Girl" fans better known as Lonely Boy) and lots of absurdly funny moments.

Al Rawabi School for Girls

Editorial Assistant Sohal Jussufzai: The Jordanian Netflix series is set in a high school with an exclusively female cast and crew. A bullied schoolgirl defends herself against her tormentors and over time realizes that no one is just bad or good, which, to her surprise, also applies to herself. I find the series very exciting because it is about a girls' school in which the students beat each other off instead of supporting each other. It's the exact opposite of how it should be. Unexpected plot twists included!

Sex Education

Online editor Laura Holzinger: How I'm looking forward to the third season (it will be on Netflix on September 17th)! The series tells the story of Otis Milburn, a nerdy, introverted student who lives with his somewhat quirky mother, Jean, a sex therapist. The focus is on the high school life of Otis and his friends. Big and small problems, relationships as well as first sexual experiences are on the program, which is not always that easy, especially for late developer Otis. The cast is diverse, the actors are generally great and the series is unusual and hilarious.

Modern family

Gourmet and lifestyle editor Lisi Brandlmaier: Season 11 is now on Netflix. It's about a family that can't be more modern. Old father Ed O'Neill has two children. A daughter and a son. He himself is newly married to Gloria (Sofia Vergara), who plays so perfectly that you can only love her. His daughter has a husband and three children, the son also has a husband and an adopted daughter. The dialogues are hilarious and an absolute must see. Since the individual episodes are very short, the ideal and, above all, very funny pastime to switch off after a strenuous day at work.

The professor

Art Director Heimo Novak has a second tip for us: At a large university, the first non-white professor tries to meet the requirements and high expectations of a failing English institute. As the first woman in this position and one of the few people of color in the workforce, the professor faces a whole range of challenges. She makes her way through everyday university life with wit and charm. With Sandra Oh!

The blacklist

Layouter Christian Ertlbauer: A gang boss with a network of criminal syndicates faces the FBI. Raymond "Red" Reddington is one of the most wanted criminals in the country. Finally, he offers the FBI his cooperation: he wants to provide them with information about previously unknown terrorists that he has collected over the years on his so-called "blacklist". The main plot of each episode is about the apprehension of criminals, while subplots highlight the past of Reddington and his new FBI colleague Liz. Suddenly it turns out that their fates are linked … There are already eight seasons on Netflix, the ninth has already been commissioned.
