The luxury label Pronovias recently announced on Instagram that it is giving away wedding dresses to doctors and nurses from all over the world - as a token of their gratitude for their efforts in the fight against the coronavirus.
I have to admit - I only recently said to my partner that in the current situation, in which every public event had to be canceled, I also feel a bit sorry for all the bridal couples. Why? Well, on the one hand, the most likely tearful conditions immediately after the cancellation of your own wedding. For my part, as a future bride, I would at least have cried snot and water had I found out that I had to cancel her …
And then there is the time-consuming, nerve-wracking preparation phase, all the planning and organizing and of course the financial aspect that goes with it. Phew, maybe also the rising fear that this could all be a sign of fate and involuntarily ask me questions like "Is my wedding under a bad star?" Or "Maybe there is a reason why I shouldn't get married?" would shoot in the brain. Well, maybe it’s just me who’s so overdramatic… Oh yes, and last but not least, the question of when there will be a replacement date at all remains open… A situation that is not that easy!

What the Spanish bridal fashion label Pronovias has just announced online does not solve the problem of all those brides who have just had to call off their own wedding. But at least it conjures up a smile on the face of many people for a brief moment - and in the current situation that can't do any harm! Because all future brides who are currently giving everything to cope with the situation around the virus - i.e. doctors, nurses and carers - get a wedding dress from the luxury label.
According to Alessandra Rinaudo, Artistic Director of the Pronovias Group, "The Heroes Collection" was created to celebrate the extraordinary and selfless commitment of the nursing staff. The special collection should be available in all of the label's flagship stores by August 31, 2020. Since some of them are also in crisis areas where the shops are currently closed, it cannot be ruled out that the offer will sooner or later also be available online … Wait and see!
