Who would have thought that a three-week lockdown would turn into a 365-day pandemic … We wanted to know from the country's corona experts how they manage to look positively into the future in all the chaos and uncertainty.

Environmental medicine specialist Hans Peter Hutter is currently one of the most sought-after scientists in our country. As an environmental doctor, the government also relies on his expertise in protective measures.

WOMAN: One year of Corona: How are you?
Hans-Peter Hutter: While many people throw their nerves away, I'm still surprisingly in a good mood. Some think: "annoying" in a good mood. I attribute this to my zodiac sign (Aries - Sagittarius ascendant).
WOMAN: What are you missing acutely at the moment?
Hans-Peter Hutter: The freedom of movement of my right shoulder, the freedom of movement in general (keyword "curfew") and a little brown guy sitting in my favorite pastry shop and … paddling in a "dangerous surf".
WOMAN: And what are you most looking forward to after the lockdown? What will you do first?
Hans-Peter Hutter: Keep my promise: finally drive with my son in the Prater Autodrom. Relax in a thermal bath and enjoy a little brown beer while sitting in my favorite pastry shop.
WOMAN: Who do you want to finally hug again?
Hans-Peter Hutter: Everyone who actually wants to be hugged by me … despite the lockdown of my right shoulder. And of course: THE WORLD!

Daniel Tiefengraber is a general practitioner and father of three children, author, and vaccinator at the special outpatient department for vaccinations, travel and tropical medicine at the Medical University of Vienna.
WOMAN: One year of Corona: How are you?
Daniel deep digger: As the father of three children, I am currently on parental leave and my wife is in the home office. The limited childcare and the lack of contact with grandparents and friends really get down to business. To protect my parents and grandparents and a pregnant woman in the family, we followed the AHA rules very closely. With spring now I'm looking forward to the sun and fresh air, and more exercise.
WOMAN: What are you missing acutely at the moment?
Daniel deep digger: Invite friends and other children. To be able to plan family and birthday parties, vacations or other things, everything is uncertain.
WOMAN: And what are you most looking forward to after the lockdown? What will you do first?
Daniel deep digger: I will visit music festivals or concerts again immediately! Invite friends with many children to go dancing with my wife.
WOMAN: Who do you want to finally hug again?
Daniel deep digger: My friends and all colleagues in the health sector who work particularly hard and deserve a real hug!

Renée Gallo-Daniel is a clinical and health psychologist and works as President of the Austrian Association of Vaccine Manufacturers.
WOMAN: One year of Corona: How are you?
Renée Gallo-Daniel: My life has completely changed! Everything is different, old habits no longer exist! Most of it runs digitally, shopping for everyday use, shopping, meeting friends, keeping appointments.
WOMAN: What are you missing acutely at the moment?
Renée Gallo-Daniel: My friends, social life and travel - whether business trips or vacations.
WOMAN: And what are you most looking forward to after the lockdown? What will you do first?
Renée Gallo-Daniel: Definitely meet friends!
WOMAN: Who do you want to finally hug again?
Renée Gallo-Daniel: My best friend Martina.
