Cordula Reyer, now 59, came into the fashion business by chance and quickly modeled herself in the front row. She worked with the world's best photographers, who were always more important to her than the fees. The top model was flown to Vienna for the first WOMAN cover. 20 years later, a self-determined woman looks back - without melancholy and with serene cheerfulness.

Among the many cover productions that Cordula Reyer posed for, there was also one for WOMAN. The sought-after model graced the first issue in November 2001, and the entire editorial team was proud to bring the first copies into the world. "Of course I remember the shoot, including the beautiful clothes." Her friend and explorer Elfie Semotan had taken the pictures and said in the first issue of the new magazine: "Cordula has the rare talent of simply being there in front of the camera and communicating in a playful seductive way Success comes to her."

Cordula Reyer views her career in a similar way: "My luck was that I was relaxed about the job. When I look at old photos today, I am aware of my impact and I know how good I looked. Now I think that I could have made more out of my career. Think to myself: Why didn't I play it off more to drive success? I wasn't like that. When you're young and have a family, the priorities are different."
