Have you already planned your next vacation, but you still don't know where to go? Maybe there is something for you in these accommodations. But be careful: it's haunted everywhere!

Whether you're a Halloween fan or not, you can definitely let a little bit of horror into your life in autumn! Finally, the weather turns into a foggy, cloudy soup that invites you to cozy afternoons of reading. And why not use this natural horror atmosphere and spend a night or two in a cursed house? Airbnb has some accommodations that are said to be haunted regularly. And even if you don't believe in the supernatural, these nine locations look pretty inviting:
Historic Civil War Farm House (Gettysburg - USA): A boring farmhouse - that's how it looks from the outside. But this building was once a hospital (19th century) and if you know one thing about former hospitals, it is this: It just HAS to be haunted there! There is no other way. But apparently the ghosts are quite friendly, as the owners write on Airbnb: "They (the ghosts) have lived here for hundreds of years. Yes, the house is haunted, but everyone is very friendly!"

Historic Civil War Farm House approx. 100 euros / night
The Haunted Chamber Apartment (York, Northern England): The bedroom of this ancient house is 600 years old, according to the advertisement. And guests describe this property as the perfect place to soak up York's medieval flair. As part of a 2016 MTV show, video producer Matt Risley slept in this room but (sadly) saw no ghost. Nevertheless: In the folder with the guest information there was something about a "man with long dark hair who wears a hat". When he appears in the room, it should suddenly be very cold.

The Haunted Chamber Apartment approx. 120 euros / night
Laura's Cottage, Redford film spot (Savannah, Georgia - USA): The small, enchanted house was built as a guest house in 1799. Since then it has been renovated and renewed again and again, but the old charm has been retained. It was used as the filming location for Robert Redford's 2010 film "The Lincoln Conspiracy". Allegedly, a ghost named Laura haunts there, who has not yet been seen by the guests, but has at least been sensed.

Laura's Cottage, Redford film spot, historic approx. 155 euros / night
The Haunted Bedroom at Talliston (Great Dunmow, England): Anyone who does not immediately book a ticket to England at this facility has no idea! The ambience is almost reminiscent of the bedrooms from the Harry Potter films. The walls are lit with candles and there are "inexplicable noises and smells," according to the ad. Therefore the room is not for the faint of heart….

The Haunted Bedroom at Talliston approx. 141 euros / night
Parks-Bowman Mansion: The Haunted Bedroom (New Orleans, Louisiana - USA): At first glance, the accommodation looks like it was furnished by quirky old folks. But that's because they wanted to keep the typical New Orleans style. It is haunted by a girl from the 1890s in a yellow dress. According to the ad, she is very shy so you probably won't see her.

Parks-Bowman Mansion: The Haunted Bedroom approx. 100 euros / night
The Manor Master Chamber (Saint Paul, Minnesota - USA): This house looks scary from the outside. The interior has been left in the style of the late 1800s. You can not only spend the night here, but also hold séances and other spiritualistic sessions. The owner of the house said in an interview that one day he found a hair clip and at the same moment a vision of a girl popped into his mind's eye. He then asked around whether a girl had died in the house and in fact Rosalia Fihn died of an illness in one of the rooms in 1908.

The Manor Master Chamber approx. 63 euros / night
The castle in DAVOS (Davos, Switzerland: Davos is the highest town in Europe - it is 1500 meters above sea level. The castle itself was built in 1906 and is even above the city. The apartments in the castle are small and modern, but the location makes this accommodation something special.

The castle in DAVOS approx. 122 euros / night
Anitya Cave House (Ortahisar, Turkey): This accommodation fits perfectly into the area, because in Ortahisar, Turkey, almost all houses are built of stone or even carved into the mountain. The Cave House is an 80 square meter luxury apartment made entirely of stone. Many of the surrounding mountain cottages are abandoned.

Anitya Cave House approx. 106 euros / night
Not in the mood for a haunted vacation? We are doing these "normal" city trips this autumn.
Historic Adobe Home in NM Ghosttown (New Mexico - USA): This location looks a bit shabby and at the same time like fresh out of a horror movie. And not only that: the accommodation is located in the ghost town of Cuchillo. It is one of those mining places where a lot of money has been made for many years. But after all resources had been exhausted, the companies and the workers left the village. If you're looking for the real Wild West, you've come to the right place.
